Previously, multi-touch screen can detect maximum upto 2 finger contact in one occasion. However, a breakthrough in touch-screen technology been done by two German company Elektrosil and Citron which had figured out and develop the large display with multiple touch tracker named DreaMTouch.

The system is designed to layer on top of existing display technologies, adding a 4mm thick piece of laminated safety glass in front of the screen. Data is then sent to any computer using a standard USB interface. It can detect up to 32 simultaneous touch points (on maximum 82″ display) neither resistive nor capacitive but it used IR technology which give non dependency on touch operation medium. Some special feature of DreaMTouch such as: quick reaction with 50 coordinate per second, no shadow spots or blind area,no drift and no mechanical wear problem.
DreaMTouch hardware is being developed with very limited software application and lately only Elektrosil start the partnered with NUITEQ to integrate Snowflake Suite on DreaMTouch.
DreaMTouch is schedule to be launched in January 2010 while awaiting for patent approval.
